❤️ The spirit of giving was on full display this year as Sleighing Hunger celebrated its most successful campaign to date in Georgian Bay. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of local residents, businesses, and volunteers, this year’s initiative delivered unprecedented support to food banks and families in need throughout our community.
🦁🤝 Working in partnership with the Baxter Ward Lions, the Southeast Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce (SEGBAY), and the Georgian Bay Historical Society, the campaign not only met its fundraising goal — it exceeded it.
By the close of the season, Sleighing Hunger raised an impressive $28,000, which was generously matched dollar-for-dollar by the MacMillan Family, doubling the total impact to $56,000 in direct support for the local food bank.
This record-breaking achievement is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when Georgian Bay comes together. Community spirit, generosity, and collaboration continue to make a meaningful difference for those who need it most.
