Members from various Lions Clubs (including the Baxter-WardLions Club) attended Camp Huronda today for an open house; where we were enlightened as to this very worthwhile cause. Founded in 1964, Camp Huronda has hosted children living with type 1 diabetes for over 50 years. The camp programs provide a sense of belonging and community in which children, youth, and families affected by type 1 diabetes learn skills to manage their condition while feeling supported and connected.
